About the CP1 type
CP1 is the pallet most chemical and polymer plants start with. Its 1000 × 1200 mm deck is made from nine 18 mm top boards, 100 and 80 mm wide, laid with 27 mm gaps, so sacks and cartons are well supported and bag corners do not drop between the boards.
Underneath, three 100 mm stringer boards (22 mm) run across the 1000 mm side, set 40 mm in from the ends. They sit on nine blocks, 80 × 135 mm and 80 mm high, set 50 mm in from the ends and flush with the long sides, which rest on three 135 mm bottom boards. The overall height is 138 mm. The four corners of the top and bottom decks have 20 mm 45° chamfers.
Because conveyors and palletisers in chemical plants are set up around these positions, we keep to the standard CP1 layout. The pallets carry our ISPM-15 mark “IN-083 HT”; we are not an EPAL licensee, so they are CP1-type pallets without EPAL or CP markings.
